The Hadith:
(Sayings of the Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon Him)

"Truly, what is lawful is evident, and what is unlawful is evident, and in between the two are matters which are doubtful which many people do not know. He who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and honour blameless, and he who indulges in doubtful things indulges in fact in unlawful things..."

How to obtain HFCC Halal certificate

For a product to be approved by HFCC it must meet the Halal Criteria, which is explained in the "What is Halal?" section.

This simple set of guidelines is embodied by HFCC’s approved logo, which ensures foods are absolutely suitable for Muslims.

To protect your intellectual property rights, we are happy to sign a confidentiality agreement with you. If you are interested in acquiring Halal accreditation, please call us for an informal chat on 01482 581310 or contact us via the contact details available on the Contact Us page.

Application Procedure

1.

Upon receipt of your application form and a full list of ingredients and supporting material for each product to be registered, your application will be assessed immediately and any queries forwarded to you.

2. Once we are satisfied that your products meets our full criteria, we will assess whether an audit needs to be carried out on your premises.
3. In case of audit, our inspectors will carry out an inspection of the manufacturing site (at cost to you). A report will be sent out to highlight any problem areas, and solutions provided to overcome these.
4. Upon satisfactory completion of recommendations (if any) a Halal certificate will be issued, which will be valid for a period of 12 months. Approved manufacturer, supplier or distributor will then be entitled to use the HFCC logo of Halal authenticity on their ingredients and products.
5. Any addition or removal of ingredients or change of manufacturing process has to be notified to the HFCC prior to implementation. This may be a chargeable service depending on the complexity of changes.
6. Certificates are automatically renewed annually on the due date, if no changes to ingredients or manufacturing process/site have taken place. You will be sent a renewal form to sign and return to us, in order to continue using your Halal certification.
